It woke me up! Last
night a nearly full moon was shining
through the window directly into my
eyes. It wasn’t intrusive, but rather
brought a warm feeling of longing and
accomplishment to my heart. You see, the
moon has a deep
meaning to me. It is my connect to the
larger world.
When I am away on a missions trip, I
tell my wife and grandkids to look for
the moon and when they see it to
remember me. Also when I see it (usually
12 hours before them) I will be thinking
of them!
The moon’s persistent brightness last
night made sleeping impossible, so I
began to think of and pray for the many
people around the world who I have had
the privilege of meeting over the years:
Liz in Venezuela, Jamila is Morocco,
Camellia in Germany, Fon in Thailand and
the list went on: Comoros, Kenya,
Tanzania, England, India, Guadeloupe,
France, Mexico, Canada, Bonaire, and
Greece. How privileged I have been over
the years to have had opportunities in
such lands!
This summer may be for some of you
your very first mission experience. I
hope you like me will begin to realize
the privilege it is to begin to develop
friendships around the world. The
opportunity you will have to tell those
new friends about Jesus Christ, the
opportunity for you to grow in faith and
vision.
There will be a full moon this week!
IF you find it shining in your window,
don’t close the shades, but take those
waking moments to ask God to richly use
you this summer!

Dear Friends,
Wow, spring
has sprung and life will start getting a
little crazy for all of us. We are
looking forward to all the Lord will do
this spring and summer through those on
up coming work teams.
Chris has
made several trips up to Holmes, NY this
past month. Many have answered the pleas
for help and worked hard at getting the
parsonage ready for sale. The goal is to
put the house on the market by this
summer. Chris will be going up to NY
again next week for a couple of days.
Pray that they will be able to finish up
the work.
On April 23
Chris will be boarding a plane for
Serbia. There will be 7 on the team, 5
from Grace BFC, Reading and two from
North Carolina. Pray that they will be
able to get a lot finished up. The
Dedication for the Church is set for
June. Pray that they will have a good
flight, the luggage will get there with
them and that they will have safety as
they work. The team returns on May 6th.
Lesa and
Barry Miller will be arriving here the
beginning of May, we are all excited
about their visit. They will be staying
with us the beginning of May and then
going up to Maine. They will be
returning PA in time for the Missions
rally. We will have a full house for the
month, Beckie & Lesa's mom and aunt will
also be visiting. May also brings the
Missions Rally on May 13th. Chris will
be speaking in the afternoon and Beckie
is in-charge of the 3-5th grade
children's group. Pray for them as they
prepare.
Thank you so
much for praying.
Because of
Christ,
Chris & Beckie

Final
Prayer |

Our heavenly
Father, we know of Your heart’s desire
for the world to come to You through
Your Son Jesus Christ. We are
about to embark on a summer of mission
outreach. We are just a group of
willing teens and adults ready to go and
be of assistance in spreading the Good
News. Lord some will go for the
purpose of prayer, others will take tool
and do physical labor, yet others will
be using gifts of evangelism, teaching
and even humanitarian aid.
Lord bless our
endeavors, keep us safe, may we be an
encouragement to both those we serve and
to each other. Give us a passion
to know You, teach us Your ways, and
show us Your will.
Thank you for those
who stand beside us in prayer and for
those who have sacrificially given to
make our trips possible. Change us
Father, may we never be the same after
seeing You at work in Your world!
