Spend Your Summer in Maine

We are looking for teens to come for staff for summer camp and are trying to work a program where they can raise support to come to Maine and spend the summer doing summer camp, work projects, growing in the Lord and just enjoying the Lord in a unique setting.

 Culture Link Feedback
Dear Dana:

I just want to let you know how much I enjoyed the Culture Link Seminar this past Saturday. Even though I have spent some years on the mission field and have been a part of a few short term missions trips, I feel the seminar was both informative and stimulating. Many of the things that were shared I knew in my head but it was so beneficial to have them presented (and written down) in a very clear and practical manner. I want to thank both you and Don for a job well done. The time just flew by and I would even consider attending a second time in order to reinforce the wealth of knowledge that was shared. I would strongly encourage churches and individuals to avail themselves of this great resource.

Nelson's Nuggets “Play Us A Tune on Your Violin!”
I believe that I mentioned here some weeks back that a lady in a Mexican church asked me to try to find her son a violin.  She had been told that her son was very musically inclined but she could not afford to pay for even a used violin.  I told her that if I was to find one for her that she would need to pray that God would put one in my path.  Well just a few weeks after returning from Mexico, God did put one in my path.  We were helping a friend move and I spotted a violin case.  When I asked about it, I was told that the daughter was taking lessons but had decided she was not interested.  When I offered to buy the violin she gave it to me instead.  The violin is now tuned and restrung, thanks to some friends at my church, and as of this writing on February 10th, it is ready to go to Mexico.  Now here is the funny part.  The missionaries that we will visit have no idea who it was that asked me to bring a violin.  Now the church is small so I am relying on God to help me remember who the lady was.  It will be the first time I have carried a musical instrument through an airport, just pray that they don’t stop me and request that I pray a number, because it would be a big fat zero.

Your Response is Always Appreciated
