Where's My Let's Fish?!

By Dana Weller
I was completely overwhelmed
You may have noticed that Let’s Fish is not a weekly publication anymore. Since the short term season is coming to an end, the need for a regular update is unnecessary. We will however over the fall and winter months send out a Let’s Fish as needed. NOW is the time for you to send us your pictures and your stories. We will forward them to all of our readers to enjoy.

Remember, your story may be an encouragement to others. Send your materials TODAY to weller@bfcbom.org.

Nelson's Nugget I - Wish You Could Have Been There!
I just returned from Kosovo, my twentieth trip there since the war ended in 1999. Each trip it appears that things are getting better, but I really don’t think that they are. We visited several schools and passed out shoes and school supplies. The children seemed so appreciative, unlike many in our country. One day we spent delivering food to several very, very poor families. Families where all the members sleep in one room around a small stove used for both heat and cooking. Every time I go I think about setting down with my wife and choking more funds from our budget so that we can help more the next time. I also think about all the people that I would like to have with me when we make those visits, my parents, my wife’s parents, my friends, and I guess even my enemies. Going overseas and seeing how the rest of the world lives is a life changing experience, and the funny thing is that it isn’t a once and done change. My life continues to change, hopefully for the better. I soon will be approaching my fiftieth short-term trip. I sincerely hope that there are hundreds more before either I go to see the Lord or he comes to see us. Until next time.

Sno Glo - Go Prepared
The following e-mail I received was so very exciting. If you are planning on going to Sno-Glo, you may want to consider the following idea either personally or as a youth group. See you in January!

Pastor Weller,

The Quakertown youth group has a tradition of scripture memory incentives for Sno Glow, and I am inquiring as to your topic this year. We would like to have them search the word for insights prior to that weekend. Could you please provide us with a topic and some verse suggestions?

Thank you in advance for your time readying for this endeavor.
In His service,

Doug Radcliff

ARE YOU PRAYING FOR GREECE ?

OPERATION GIDEON II PRAYER ITEMS

37 WEEKS (259 Days) until
OPERATION GIDEON II

Week of November 9, 2005
July 28 August 9, 2006

PRAISE TO THE LORD FOR:
1. Your prayers. The Lord is working in our midst by bringing people
into the office to assist us with the great challenge He has laid on our
hearts. We are particularly encouraged by assistance with our web site and
our Greek email prayer database.

2. The safe return of HM staff, Karin and Lahela, promoting Operation
Gideon II in North America and recruiting teams for this coming summer.

3. A record attendance of 140 youth gathered at the HM hall the first
Sunday of the month Worship Event to worship the Lord and pray for the
Spirit's working in Greece. God is so Good - all the time!

4. Record Olive Harvest! Swedish team of 12 joined HM staff in olive
harvest at Porto Astro. Harvest of grafted olive trees estimated at 400-500
kilos! May the oil of gladness bless us spiritually in our efforts to
advance the Kingdom here.

PRAY FOR:
1. Costas, Alky and Nikolaos as they continue their OGII promotion
meetings across North America. Sarah, Alex and Merna as they travel to
Sweden for ministry and OG II recruitment. Bruce and Irene as the return
from Australia with a new baby. Pray for re-entry adjustments and his new
schedule with the camp property preparations for OGII. Any volunteers?

2. Faithful pastors and their families serving the Lord, for unity in
the churches and a great love of believers for each other as a vital
witness in the world.

3. Many spiritual births next Summer! We are anticipating that many
spiritual births take place next July-August. Will you commit to pray
daily for spiritual births here in Greece, whatever number the Lord lays on
your heart? And pray for those who will be helping the delivery of those
spiritual births through the giving out the Word of God? God is truly the
new Life Giver.

Kathryn and the Greek OGII prayer team (Eleni and Marina)

Nelson's Nugget II - My Friend Kent Stone is Gone!
Many of you know that for over twenty years I worked for Dun & Bradstreet (now known as D&B). The last fifteen of those years I worked closely with Kent Stone. Kent was from Kentucky, and with me being from West Virginia, we were friends right off the bat. For a while Kent reported to me and we were responsible for handling the most sensitive complaint calls and letters that came to the senior management of D&B. We were often in the senior officer’s offices to discuss how some of these complaints should be handled. To say our jobs were stressful is an understatement. Many times we would just have to sit and be screamed at for minutes at a time before we could even say anything in response. My friend Kent died this past weekend at the age of 53 or 54, his wife found him in the bathroom on the floor. Over the years I invited Kent and his family to church several times. He was always interested in my trips and supported our ministry, BUT I do not know if he knew the Lord. I hope and pray that he did. Kent leaves a wife and a special needs daughter that may always need assistance to live. Should you have a friend as dear as Kent was to me, please don’t let them leave this world without sharing Christ with them. I am not sure why I never pinned him down, maybe I was afraid our friendship wouldn’t be the same. Nevertheless, I never did it, and today I am truly sorry.
 URBANA 2006

December 27-31, 2006

URBANA is only 405 days away.

NOW is the time to begin to plan for this great experience. There is no getting around the fact that URBANA is expensive. If you immediately begin a consistent savings plan there is no reason why this important missions conference should be out of your reach.
