But if anyone has
enough money to live well, and sees a
brother or sister in need and refuses to
help—how can God’s love be in that
person? I John 3:17
"We're dealing with one of the worst
natural disasters in our nation's
history. . . I can't tell you how
devastating the sights were."
President Bush

At the Board of Missions we have had
many contacts from pastors, churches,
and individuals seeking ways to donate
towards the Katrina Disaster needs. We
have received donations by internet
Pay-Pal from as far away as Boston!
Because of the magnitude of this
disaster, the following notice will
remain in effect as long as necessary.
NOTICE
The Bible Fellowship Church Board of
Missions will receive donations from BFC
churches and individuals for Hurricane
Katrina Disaster Relief. Please send
checks made payable to BFCBOM clearly
marked Disaster Relief. Immediate
donations can be made through Pay-Pal at
www.bfcbom.org.
Donations will be processed through
agencies like Samaritan’s Purse.

“What A Sad Commentary!”
Yesterday my wife Robyn and I were
shopping for items to send to the
refugees in Louisiana. Our church, Cedar
Crest Bible Fellowship, is sending a
truck this coming Sunday and the
receiving church in Baton Rouge had
provided a list of items that they could
use. As I stood in the line with an
armload of clothes, I dropped to the
floor to remove the hangers so that when
I made it to the register it would go
more quickly for those that were waiting
behind me. Someone asked if the clothing
was headed to Louisiana and I said yes.
The lady behind me who only had a couple
items looked down at me and said, “isn’t
that great what you are doing,” and then
said, “since I only have a few items,
could I go in front of you?” Instead of
saying, could I help you with those
hangers, or could I help you pay for
those items, or what can I do to help,
she was more interested in getting out
of the store before me, and we had both
been in line for a long time. If I had
not been concerned about my testimony in
that store and before the Lord, I would
have given her a piece of my mind. What
a sad commentary. After all that has
happened to those poor people, she was
more worried about getting out of the
store than helping out. I sure hope she
is in the minority but I laid in bed
last evening and wondered much about
that poor lady. She is probably worse
off than many of those who have lost
everything but still know the Lord!
Please pray for the truck that will
leave Cedar Crest this Sunday headed for
Baton Rouge and for our Greece team,
also leaving Sunday for a two week stay
in Athens working with refugees in that
city. Thanks and God Bless!

Board of Missions
RWR
November 18-20
Every Fall the Board of Missions
conducts an RWR at Pinebrook Bible
Conference. An RWR is a Retreat within a
Retreat held Friday through Sunday.
Those who participate work as conference
personnel throughout the weekend, and
conduct their own retreat during their
off-duty hours.
The Board of Missions' RWR is for teens
and singles to spend some time thinking
about God's plan for their lives as it
relates to missions. Besides spending
time looking into God's Word, there is
also a missionary in attendance to add
valuable insights on following God's
lead into missions.
If you or someone you know would be
interested in attending the next RWR
contact the Board of Missions for
additional information. God has done
amazing things through this ministry.
